2017 Regional Trainings
Ready to meet with market managers and vendors in your area, share your stories, and learn valuable skills you can apply next season? IFMA, University of Idaho Extension and the Idaho State Department of Agriculture have planned action-packed regional workshops in Coeur d'Alene, Caldwell, and Idaho Falls for the winter of 2017. These workshops have been designed to help market managers, staff, volunteers, and vendors sharpen their skills, strengthen their markets and grow sales. We can’t wait to get started!

We know how hard you work, and what your challenges are. These half-day workshops are custom made for managers, staff, & volunteers. They will focus on building your skills in marketing, developing community connections, staying on top of rules and regulations, and on budget friendly customer incentives perfect for your farmers market. State and local resource providers will join in for a fun and engaging afternoon of education, professional development, and networking. This workshop is specifically designed for those managing or planning to manage a farmers market in Idaho.

Vendors are the heart of every market, and when you’re successful, the market thrives! These one day workshops are designed to help with common business management and marketing issues so that you can focus on what you love and do best: growing and creating the one-of-a-kind items for your loyal customers. This workshop will include time for learning and networking with fellow agricultural, specialty item, prepared food and artisan vendors. It will also bring together local resources, professionals and service providers for a fun and engaging day. While this content is specifically designed for farmers market vendors, market staff and volunteers are also welcome to attend, especially if they, too, are vendors!
